Hionis Greenhouses Inc was founded in 1985, by Spiros & Angeliki (Angie) Hionis. They started out as a one acre greenhouse in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Spiros and Angie started out growing, Poinsettias, Spring Bulbs, Spring Flowering Plants and Fall Outdoor Mums. With this one acre greenhouse they raised for sons who they kept involve in the operations. In 1997, they moved out of Bridgewater and built at their current location in Whitehouse Station, NJ. During this transition, both Spiros and Angie passed to their sons, Pete, Tim, Spiro, & Gerry the day to day operations and expanded the operations to 4 acres of glass gutter connected greenhouses. At the time they installed some state of the art features in the new facility that they still use today such as ebb and flo irrigation tables, also tables that moved throughout the facility, state of the art coolers for bulb production and more. The sons expanded the production to more items that they could grow throughout each year.

Since then, Hionis Greenhouses is now expanded to almost 18 acres of undercover production which they expand as often as they can, over 65 acres of outdoor production in multiple growing locations. With just about 40 years in the industry, Hionis Greenhouses strives to grow products and meet the demands of the consumer throughout the East Coast year after year. We look for new innovative growing techniques to be ahead of or keep up with the every change needs of today’s landscape and flower needs. Whether it is a few different plants needed to fix a planter for someone, our a few thousand plants of one or two colors to install at a big complex, Hionis Greenhouses has the means to fulfill requests that is suitable for the conditions where they will be installed. Our product line consists of Spring Bedding Plants, Summer Annuals, Fall Outdoor Mums and other fall outdoor products, Poinsettias and ZygoCactus, Flowering Bulbs and Early Spring Products like Pansies, Succulents, House Plants, and much more.
